The Apollo 11 Moon Landing as you have never experienced it before: a play of light, images and live music in the atmospheric courtyard of CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory.
Moon features a series of film loops, created by Spanish video artist Esperanza Collado from footage originally distributed by NASA to schools, universities and news agencies in 1969/1970, screened through multiple projectors and accompanied by an evocative soundtrack performed live by the Buzz Aldrin Allstars.
The Buzz Aldrin Allstars are a collection of likeminded musicians looking to keep the kraut rock tradition alive. They feature members from some of Dublin’s finest bands: Si Schroeder, 3epkano, Halfset, Strands and Beautiful Unit.
Please Note: Complimentary bus leaves Bus Station, Parnell Place at 22:00 and returns after the show
CuriousCity will be a series of city-wide events in Cork from June 23 – 28 to inspire creativity, spark innovation and seek answers to life’s great questions.
In association with Dublin City of Science, CuriousCity will surprise the public with quantum theatre, live science, visual art, multimedia, music, exhibitions, theatre, interactive workshops, commissioned pieces and most importantly, fun!
Engage with science and celebrate the imagination, creativity and innovation that link the arts and science
