That’s About The Teeny Tiny Size Of It – free kids workshops
On 24 June 2012, scientist Niamh Shaw and artist Úna Kavanagh will present two free workshops for children as part of the CuriousCity festival
taking place in Cork. Based on their critically acclaimed inspirational show about science and art, “That’s About The Size Of It”. These workshops look at String Theory, dimensions and our “what if’s”.
Children are invited to create and make their own parallel universes, other dimensions and explore the world of String Theory. This fun-packed hour will include creating drawings and sculptures from the children’s imagination, and an introduction to the world of Quantum Physics.
12noon to 12:40pm for 5 – 7 year olds - That’s About The Teeny Tiny Size Of It
1 – 2 pm for 7 – 10 year olds – That’s About The Tiny Size Of It
Both workshops are free and will be taking place at CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory
