Relive the Apollo 11 Mission with BCO’s SciComm team on a guided “Moon Walk” through Cork City, starting at St. Peter’s Cork and followed by an Apollo 11 talk at Nano Nagle Place.

Cycle Through Time

8.00 pm -10.00 pm

A guided cycle through the first 20 Billion years of the Universe from the Big Bang through the birth of the first stars, the birth of the Earth, the evolution of life, to today and on to the death of the Sun and merger of our Milky Way with the Andromeda Galaxy. Starting from outside Nano Nagle Place and arriving to CIT’s Blackrock Castle Observatory.

Exoplanet Extravaganza at CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory:
9.00 pm – 11.00 pm

Join astronomers at CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory for an Exoplanet themed evening. Learn about Exoplanet research, and Ireland’s chance to name one of these fascinating celestial objects. Meet UCC researchers and hear about their passions for science before joining our friends at Cork Astronomy Club for live stargazing*. (*Weather permitting)
