Visit The Castle. Thursday July 9

We look forward to welcoming you back to CIT Blackrock Castle Observatory. We will initially be restricting bookings to social unit groups of up to 6 people (Families, or other cohabitants) to ensure compliance with best health and safety practices. We are reviewing Government guidelines and retrofitting our experience on a daily basis to ensure we can extend our opening to the wider public in the very near future. We thank you for your understanding and patience at this time.

In the interest of the safety of our staff and visitors, attendance will only be permitted to visitors who are wearing a mask. Advance booking is strictly required and can be done on the website. We cannot accommodate walk-ins at this time.

We are excited to announce that BCO is in the process of a refurbishment with a brand new exhibit expected to launch in September of 2020. By visiting BCO you are supporting the construciton of this new exhibit and helping to bring about the next phase of Cork’s beloved Observatory. We are extremely grateful for your support and we hope you are as excited as we are about the new exhibit.
