2022 ESERO Space Education Confluence – Space to come together (A hybrid Event)


ESERO Ireland is delighted to partner with MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory  (BCO) and Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT) for the 2022 ESERO Space Education Confluence, the annual professional learning experience supporting teacher engagement with Earth and Space strand of the Junior Cycle. The event will be hybrid with elements on-line and the physical event taking place in Explorium, The National Sport and Science Centre, Blackglen Rd, Sandyford, Dublin, D18 N1F2.

The event will focus on the joint ESA/NASA/CSA  James Webb Space Telescope Mission.

Specific Learning Outcomes addressed will be E&S 2 (Students should be able to explore a scientific model to illustrate the origin of the universe) and NoS 1 (Students should be able to appreciate how scientists work and how scientific ideas are modified over time).
NOTE:  other Learning Outcomes will also be discussed during the course of the day

The afternoon session consists of  different workshops, tour of Explorium and opportunities to meet the panel speakers.  Attendees can chose to participate in 3 out of 4 of the opportunities available (subject to availability).  Attendees must register for the sessions in advance.
