Maths Week: Sizes and Scales in the Solar System

Space is big. Really big. You just won’t believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it’s a long way down the road to the chemist, but that’s just peanuts to space.” Douglas AdamsThe Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy

Students will create  3-D models of two objects in the solar system – will they be able to work out what they are?
