Students will create 3-D models of two objects in the solar system – will they be able to work out what they are?
Ticker Tape Model of the Solar System: participants will review fractions as they create their own model of the Solar System that can fit into their pocket.
This three hour visit includes a Space Mathematics workshops on sizes and scales in the solar system, plus a Planetarium show, visit to Cosmos at the Castle and Journeys of Exploration Castle Tour. Subsidised rate for Maths week is €5 per students (usually €8.50 each). The workshop session can be offered in Irish, please ask when booking.
