Summer of Space

An Extraordinary Summer of Space and Science

The team at Cork Institute of Technology’s Blackrock Castle Observatory is very proud to welcome the International Space University to Cork for their 30th Space Studies Programme.

In August 2017 Blackrock Castle Observatory celebrates our 10th year as an award-winning science and discovery centre. Over that time, close to 1 million people will have engaged with us on explorations of contemporary science and technology through the theme of astronomy and space.

On the occasion of the 2017 Space Studies Programme and in association with Cork County Council and Science Foundation Ireland, we invite you to join us and a host of world-leading space experts and enthusiasts to explore our incredible universe. With over 50 exciting events across Cork City and county and nationwide, Summer of Space is the broadest public engagement programme ever organised by a host country during a space Studies programme.

Just a few of our Summer of Space Events!
