For Culture Night at MTU Blackrock Castle Observatory we’re celebrating archaeoastronomy. We’ll investigate the importance links between the night sky and culturally significant sites such as Newgrange, Bonane Stone Circle and more. Visitors will get to experience a presentation on Irish Archaeoastronomy, an art workshop inspired by Newgrange, and , weather permitting, our good friends at Cork Astronomy Club will host a session of live stargazing.
Booking is not required, but tours/presentation will be offered hourly on a first-come-first served basis, so please arrive early.
